Paper Chart Digitizing Solution and Services
Digitizing existing paper charts for your EMR: We understand the practical issues faced by clinical staff with implementing an Electronic Medical Records. The burden of a paper chart and an electronic chart, clinical staff scanning paper documents into an EMR, reduced number of patient call-backs, expensive employees performing mundane job duties are a few of many issues familiar to us.
Our Custom Solutions Services department has a unique solution to digitize your paper chart. Since 2009, we have been working with a Xerox vendor, scanning software, and a custom solution to program the larger Xerox MFP machines to support digitizing of the paper chart. Our solution will scan the paper charts at high speed, convert the document into Adobe Acrobat pdf format (or other image formats), and push the digitized documents into the ESyntaxis Document Imaging Portal, Patient Portal or an EMR. Our system and the Xerox MFP communicate with the Master Patient List database to verify the patient medical record number and patient name for accuracy. We use barcodes during the scanning process and separate the images into documents and tabs within the chart.
Dynamically generated chart tabs in our Imaging Portal enable our product to be flexible and grow with your needs in a changing environment.
We can take over an entire project to digitize your charts allowing your clinical staff to take care of the patients. We will work with staffing agencies for labor and scan your charts on-your site or off-site. We can also provide you the hardware, software, setup, training, project management and help you digitize your chart using your own staff. We will take over the burden of a non-clinical function and allow you to focus on taking care of patients.
